Seller offering a 1926 Ford Model T Runabout with over 90 years of mileage for $17,500. Seller says the vehicle came from a friend’s collection and doesn’t know a lot about its history. Over 1.5 million model T’s were produced in 1926 and 14 million during its entire production run from 1909 to 1927. Speedsters were not an official Model T body type. Instead, they are some of the earliest examples of American “hot rod” ingenuity.
We are not Model T experts but like most customs, no two Speedsters are the same. Cut fenders, adjusted ride height, parts from different years, and some home built parts were just some of the possibilities. It looks like this example is an all of the above.
We’d be interested to learn more about how the vehicle performs and when the vehicle was built. It looks like the crank start has been upgraded to an electric start. Otherwise, it looks to be true to the Model T form – we like it. This 1926 Ford Model T Speedster Runabout is for sale in Warrensburg, Missouri.
