Seller offering a 1930 MG Model M Midget. Rare survivor – the car is in good running condition with the original wooden body and leather wrapped factory frame. Comes with original plaid top and 847 cc 4 cyl engine. Transmission is a single-plate dry clutch. Three speed non-syncromesh gearbox. Suspension through a non-indpendent all around by semi-elliptical leaf springs, pivoted at the front, shackled in the rear. Brown body with yellow motorcycle like fenders. Chassis #2041. Seller believes the car was raced in New York but does not have any accompanying race history.
The MG M-type was produces from 1929-1932, this is reported to be one of the first affordable sports cars to be offered by an established manufacturer. The wood frame changed to metal in 1931. Top speed when new was 65 mph. Great touring car with room for luggage.
