Seller offering a classic 1934 Chrysler Airflow with undisclosed miles for $78,750. Tan exterior, crazy chrome grill sloping up to the hood, and swooping lines back to rear wheel covers over large white wall tires. Sleek and ahead of its time, Seller doesn’t disclose whether this is the original paint/interior or whether a rebuild or any work has been done to the engine.
Introduced in 1934 and produced for only three years the Airflow came in a coupe and 4-door version. The vehicle was equipped with a 3-speed manual transmission and flathead inline V8 engine which produced 122 hp. The sloping hood and tapered rear end shape of the Airflow is the result of wind tunnel testing. Chrysler also introduced a uni-body construction to achieve more rigidity with less weight. Design, reduced weight, and reallocated weight all contributed to better handling and ride quality. Slow to embrace the Airflow, the vehicle had disappointing sales – too advanced and different for many consumers. This 1934 Chrysler Airflow is for sale in Kansas City, Missouri.
