1940’s (?) Jeep Station Wagon – Clay Center, KS

Seller offering a 1940’s Jeep Station Wagon with undisclosed miles for $10,000. Few details included other than seller says it needs annual maintenance, a new distributor, and some cleaning.,  Pictures of the exterior do not show any rust of body damage of the 2-door version’s maroon or faux wood paint.  Similarly, interior pictures are clean and no signs of rips/tears.  Whitewall tires and original hubcaps appear to be intact. Unfortunately, not many details on the exact year, engine, or whether it is a 4×4 (guessing it’s not based on the lack of lockout hubs).  Looking in the background, this Jeep may be a part of a larger collection.  Notice the wood boat with the barrel back below and what appears to be the rudder of an airplane behind that?

Willy produced 300,000 Jeep Station Wagons from 1946 to 1965 in the United States.  Although the listing says the Jeep is from the 1940’s, the flat grille was replaced in 1950 with a pointed v-shape design with 5 horizontal bars across the vertical ones.  The Jeep came in a 2-door, 4-door, panel truck, and pickup versions.   Checkout the listing on Craigslist for more details
