Seller offering a rare 1948 Chrysler Town and Country with undisclosed miles for $52,500. Seller says that in the 1970’s the vehicle was mildly hot-rodded with 357 Oldsmobile 371ci engine, transmission, dechromed hood, and modified headlights. Seller says everything runs and drives well – including the factory power convertible top. Tan interior looks fresh and seller says wood exterior looks good except for one piece of wood on passenger door. Classic woody style.
The second generation wood, produced from 1946-1950, was one of the most memorable post-war Chryslers every built. We think the “de-chroming” was limited to removing chrome around the headlights, hood ornament, and front badging. Otherwise, this example looks true to the original woody and ready for cruising. This 1948 Chrysler Town and Country is for sale in Mission, Kansas. Check out seller’s listing on Facebook for full details and contact information.
