1948 represents the last year of the 1st generation Continental. While it shared many of the mechanical components of the Lincoln, the Continental initially stood on its own. The original Continental was produced from 1938 to 1948 with production interrupted from 1942-1945 during WWII. Not until the 2nd generation did the “Mark” designation begin and not until 1957 did Continental merge with Lincoln. This 1948 Lincoln Continental is for sale in Centerview, Missouri.
