Seller offering a partially restored 1963 Jeep J300 with 124,000 miles for $12,500. Recently returned from the body shop, seller says it is 98% complete. Includes original 3.8 L straight six Jeep Tornado engine, 4-speed manual transmission, and 4-wheel drive.
Introduced in 1962, the Jeep Gladiator is a full-sized pickup based on the larger Jeep SJ. The Gladiator came in several variations including the long wheelbase J300 and short wheelbase J200. In addition to a pickup body, the Gladiator included a wrecker, stake bed, and chassis mounted campers. The Tornado engine produced a respectable 140-hp and was of the first overhead cam engines offered by an American manufacturer.
We like the red body and original white wheels. We would like to see what additional exterior/interior trim come with the vehicle. The interior dash looks complete along with the steering wheel – always hate to see original steering wheels replaced.
