Seller offering a restored 1963 International Harvester Scout with 44,720 reported miles for a buy-it-now price of $12,750. Nicely restored, this pick-up style Scout has 4×4, 3-speed manual transmission and seller says it drives good. Exterior includes two-tone yellow and white paint with removable hard top. Not sure whether a factory or aftermarket part – probably the most unique feature is on the dash. Seller’s photos show sunglasses currently using what appears to be a dash mounted gun rack.
This 1963 is an original Scout – the Scout 80. The Scout 80, an early competitor to the Jeep CJ, was built from 1960-1965. Relative to the CJ, the Scout had doors, a full metal top, a better driving position and more comfortable seating. The door glass and doors themselves were removable and the windshield foldable. The Scout 80 was equipped with the Comanche 152 cubic inch, 4-cylinder, 93 hp engine – 18 hp ahead of Jeep’s 4 cylinder. Check out seller’s listing on eBay for more details and contact information.
