Seller offering a 1964 Studebaker Daytona Wagonaire with 48,00 original miles for $12,500. Seller is the 2nd owner of the vehicle and has only added 3,000 miles. When seller purchased the vehicle, it had been in storage since 1971. Since buying it, has rebuilt the engine, automatic transmission, power steering, replaced the brake lines and all new brakes. Radiator has been replaced with a custom aluminum radiator with electric fan and added ean electric fuel pump. Cosmetically, the seller repainted the vehicle in factory Laguna Blue. Over $25,000 invested.
The Wagonaire was produced from 1963-1966. Designed by the same industrial designer who designed the Jeep Wagoneer. The most prominent feature of the Wagonaire was the retractable roof which allowed it to carry additional items that would otherwise be too large for a conventional station wagon (seller says this is still operating correctly). The retractible roof could have leakage problems and Studebaker offered a fixed top version after some complaints. 1964 was the last year to carry the Studebaker’s own engines. The Daytona version was equipped with a larger 289 V8 engine. Check out seller’s listing for full details and contact information.
