Few details on this 1965 Porsche 912. Seller says there are zero miles since rebuild of engine, twin carbs, and brake system. In addition to body being “renewed” the gas tank and generator have also been cleaned. No location information other than located in Missouri (see license plate). Seller asking $25,000
The Porsche 912 was the entry-level variant of the 911. The 912 initially outsold the 911 during the first couple of years of production. During the production run from 1965-1970 the 30,000 coupes and 2,500 targas were produced. Porsche eventually decided to use a 1.6L 4-cylinder engine. The overall styling, performance, quality construction, reliability, and price made the 912 very attractive to buyers and was only discontinued when the company dedicated resources toward the new Porsche 914, an expanded 911 lineup, and tougher US emissions standards.
