Seller offering a 1980 Ferrari 308 GTSi with 18,672 original miles at auction with a current bid of $15,100 (5 bids – reserve not met). Auction ends on Wedesday, 9/26 at 11:54 am. The condition of this black on tan example reflected in the mileage. Exterior paint look clean and interior was recently redone (seats and center console). Seller says the owner has had the vehicle since 1992 and performed regular service. Belt service done on 7/31/16 (308 miles ago) included all fluids and brake flush. At some point the window motors were redone and an aftermarket exhaust was added.
The GTSi is the first year fuel injection was adopted (hence the “i” in GTSi). Essentially the same aluminum V8 engine, the fuel injection system replaced the quadruple twin choke carburetors. The fuel injection impacted performance – hence the 205-hp.
Standard wheels for the GTSi were 14″ but optional 16″ wheels were available. Likely that the current vehicle has the original (upgraded) 16″ wheels with a 14″ spare (standard).
Probably one of our favorite design features of this generation of Ferrari’s are the dials, knobs, dials, and buttons on the interior. More akin to something you’d see in an airplane, they convey a sense of strength that modern plastic/carbon fiber does not. This 1980 Ferrari 308 GTSi is for sale in Lenexa, Kansas.
