Seller offering a 1980 US Grand Prix edition Toyota Celica GT with undisclosed miles for $6,561. 600 US Grand Prix edition Toyota Celica’s were produced in 1980. 200 of those were red, 200 were white, and 200 were blue. Seller says this comes with complete and details service history, window stickers, sales brochure, and yearly mileage reports. Seller says it runs and drives excellent.
In 1980 Toyota celebrated its sponsorship of the US Grand Prixs with a limited production edition of the liftback Celica. The Grad Prix editions were equipped with special striping, standard alloy wheels, mud flaps, a matte black b-pillar, and egg crate grill. The interior, which is a true time capsule, has white vinyl upholstery with black piping, and a stereo system mounted in the center console that stacks a radio, cassette, and graphic equalizer. This example appears to be unmolested and in its original form.
Notice that the performance of the Celica is not front-and-center. The Celica was equipped with a 2.2-liter 4-cylinder that produced a meager 90-hp when new. Performance is all relative and when comparing it to others of this era. This 1980 US Grand Prix edition Toyota Celica is for sale in Kansas City, Missouri.
