Seller offering a 1988 Jeep Grand Wagoneer with 92,500 original miles for $15,000. Seller says he has owned the vehicle for 4 years and purchased the vehicle from someone who had it garaged for 25 years. During the seller’s ownership, they have performed service including new alternator, power steering, and air pump hoses, new starter, replaced water pump and radiator hose, replaced rear window mirror, and more. Seller also outlines some needed fixes that are appropriate for a vehicle of this age. Overall, a great example.
In 1984 AMC replaced the SJ body style with the all new, smaller, and more fuel efficient Cherokee. Demand for the SJ kept the body style alive until 1991. Chyrsler bought AMC in 1987 and largely left the Wagoneer untouched with the carbureted AMC V8. The ’97-’91 models were considered to be the apex of Wagoneers due to the number of upgrades.
