Seller offering a 1989 Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe 25th Anniversary edition with 141,000 miles at auction with a current bid of $12,500. Auction ends Wednesday, October 17 at 1:00 pm. Seller purchased the vehicle from the original owner in 2011 and has driven in 45k miles since then (this is a driver). The 25th Anniversary edition celebrated 25 years of the 911 and featured silk gray leather with black accent piping, silk gray velour carpeting, leather wrapped steering wheel, a stitched center console in silk grey leather, and 16″ Fuch wheels painted in the body color. Only 300 limited edition coupes were reported to be made.
Seller says the vehicle is equipped with the original 3.2 L flat-six and G50 5-speed manual transmission. As with any vehicle with 141,000 miles, this vehicle has some wear. Most notably is the leather interior and steering wheel showing some expected wear. Seller notes that the the car consumes some oil but a leak-down test was performed and all cylinders less than 10%. Around town driving oil consumption is slight while on a road trip there was none. Seller also discloses some rust on the A-pillar but the vehicle has its original paint. Did we mention this vehicle has 141,000 miles?
Most car enthusiasts are not scared away by higher mileage vehicles as long as they are taken care of. Seller has all of the records of the vehicle including dealer correspondence with the original owner. Apparently this is considered a “platinum level” per Panorama magazine.
