1989 Porsche 944 Turbo – North Kansas City, MO

**Update: accidentally had mileage listed as 34,000 miles – should have been 32,000 miles – apologize for the mistake! **

Seller offering a 1989 Porsche 944 Turbo with 32,000 miles for $55,000.  Classic Porsche red over black leather interior, pictures of exterior, interior, and under the hood are clean. Seller says it has fresh belts and water pump and in perfect condition.   Seller points out several rare features of this example including the turbo decal on the front fender and split rear seats similar to the 928.  Seller says he’s not eager to part ways with the vehicle but due to medical bills, he’s looking for another home.

The Porsche 944 Turbo was introduced in 1986 with a turbocharged and inter-cooled version.  The Turbo had improved aerodynamics (integrated front bumper), a strengthened gearbox, and a slightly stiffer suspension.  The front and rear brakes were borrowed from the 911.  The Turbo S was introduced in 1988 but in 1989, the “S” was dropped and the Turbo was equipped with all of the S options.   The larger turbo and revised mapping allowed the engine to produce a 0-60 time of 5.5 seconds and a top factory speed of 162 mph.  The upgraded suspension, power, and gearbox made these popular racers.  Check out seller’s listing on Craigslist for more details and contact information.

    Hi
I’m the owner of this car. I’d like to point out that the mileage is only 32,ooo not the 34,000 listed by this site.

You might want to swap out that first picture with one of the others because the car for sale is under the car cover, so it looks like the uncovered car is the one up for sale. But, the uncovered car is a 924 Turbo. Not a big deal, but when I first saw it I thought “That’s not a 944 Turbo”. As for the car itself, it is a beautiful car. That’s a very strong asking price, but I hope the seller gets every penny of it (especially since I also have a guards red 944 turbo sitting in the garage). The seller might try listing it in the Rennlist vehicles for sale section as well as in Panorama, the PCA magazine. Looks like the seller is a Kansas City Region PCA member as I think one of the pics looks like it was taken at a KCRPCA event.

Good point on the pictures – we liked the garage picture with the car up on the lift. Perfect solution to the problem most of us have (where do we put all the cars we want to buy?)
