Seller offering a 1990 Mazda RX-7 Track Car with undisclosed miles at Auction on Bring a Trailer. Current bid is $8,000 (5 bids) and bidding ends on Tuesday, September 11 at 5:40. When it comes to racing specs we don’t pretend to now much but this looks like a great build that took some serious thought and money. Built to participate in the Global Time Attack, the RX-7 is equipped with a LSX V8 and 6-speed manual transmission. Rear suspension from a 2004 Mustang Cobra, rear-end is a Force 8.8″ and 3.55 gear ratio, and upgraded power steering. Seller says car has been dynode at 467-hp.
Time attach is at type of racing where racers compete for the best lap time. Racers begin with a preliminary circuit, multiple timed laps, and then a cool-down lap. The level of vehicles varies from daily drivers to non-road legal race cars. The Global Time Attack manages a series events at road courses across the United States.
The entire interior has been completely outfitted with racing seats, harnesses, interior mirrors, pedals, and roll cage (1.5″ chromoly tubing). Driver’s seat is moved back 6″ for better weight distribution and the steering wheel is correspondingly extended.
A look at the interior and under the hood shows a well thought out build. Probably the most compelling pitch is the vehicle in action. Check out the video below for the vehicle in action.
