Seller offering a 1996 Jeep Cherokee Country with 196,000 miles for $4,200. Seller says the vehicle was used as a motorhome pull-behind for several years which may account for the vehicle’s excellent condition. We like the XJ Jeep body style produced from 1984-2001. 1996 represents the last year before the Cherokee received updated exterior and interior styling. We like the two-tone white and grey paint scheme on the earlier model. Our only complaint with the XJ was its 4.0L V6 was slightly underpowered.
The interior and exterior condition all look to be solid (especially compared to other examples still alive and on the road). We’re assuming the wood trim interior is aftermarket. We remember a number of aftermarket wood trim packages that could be “stuck” in the interior.
Seller outlines a nubmer of service items recently being done including new water pump, thermostat, belt and radiator hoses, heater control valve, and tune up with plug wires, plugs, cap, and rotor. Seller says the 4×4 works. Driver seat has some wear the rest of the interior looks to be in good shape. This 1995 Jeep Cherokee Country is for sale in Liberty, Missouri.
