Seller asking $19,000 for a 2004 Mercedes SL55 featuring an aftermarket Kleeman package and 85,000 miles. Kleeman A/S is an after-market tuning company specializing in Mercedes. It’s slogan is “comfort power” referring to low-boost, high output engines that create substantially more power than standard Mercedes models. The power gains were reported to be as much as 35% in both HP and torque. As a result, the supercharged V8 could see its hp increase from a stock 498 hp to over 600 hp. An authorized Mercedes dealership installed the Kleeman package which included an upgraded supercharger, ECU, headers and exhaust. The top speed of the stock SL55 was 155 mph but could be extended to 186 mph as a factory option and some claimed it could go over 200 mph if it was derestricted.
In addition to performance, the SL55 had all the comforts and style one would expect from Mercedes. The foldable hard top could retract in 16 seconds and look just as good with its top up as it does down. Seller says the car includes Alcantara suede interior, Bluetooth handsfree technology, auxiliary connectivity, and heated seats. The first year of the SL55 (2003) had the Keyless Go option which required a separate credit card to be carried at all times for Keyless Go to work. As you can imagine, this option received mixed reactions and was removed in 2004. Seller says a full $300 detail was performed by Extreme Detail on 6/19/18 and new tires were added on 5/23/18.
