Seller offering a super low mileage Mazdaspeed Miata MX-5 with 19,200 miles for $14,750. While the Miata is one of the most popular 2-seater couples of all time, we’ve always had reservations. A little too small and a little too “common”, it lacked the presence that some of us look for in a sports car. Mazdaspeed changes that perception a bit. Similar to Mercedes Benz’s AMG, Mazdaspeed represents Mazda’s in-house performance division – building production model vehicles and development of performance parts and accessories. The first consumer offered Mazdaspeed was offered in 2003. Thank you Will B for forwarding.
The 2005 Mazdaspeed Miata MX-5 offered a 25% power upgrade through a ball-bearing turbo charged 1.8-liter that produced 178 hp, 166 lb-ft of torque, a 0-60 time of 6.9 seconds. Fatter anti-roll bars, slightly firmer springs and Bilstein shocks and Mazdaspeed designed steering rack create a firmer and more responsive ride.
Mazdaspeed exterior includes a front and rear spoiler, stainless-steel scuff plates on the sills, aluminum pedal pads, body-colored interior trim in either Velocity Red Mico or Titanium Gray Metallic. The MSRP of the cloth interior version was $25,500.
Seller notes that this is the only Mazda Miata turbo produced with only 1,500 ever produced in 2004/2005 as a result of a factory fire which cut production short. Seller purchased the vehicle from the 2nd owner as a Carmax certified vehicle.
Original wheels were replaced just a couple weeks ago and seller notes a couple of imperfections – curb rash on two wheels and a scuff on the lower bumper. Seller notes that the vehicle comes with a clean CarFax and the engine bay has not been detailed – it just looks that good. This 2005 Mazdaspeed Miata MX-5 is for sale in Kearney, Missouri.
