2008 Cadillac XLR Platinum Edition – Kearney, MO

2008 Cadillac XLR convertible, Platinum Edition, with 94,000 miles.   Custom maroon pain and custom wheels loaded with all options.   The Platinum version featured upgraded features like hand-crafted leather interior.  Assembled in Chevrolet’s Bowling Green, KY plant the XLR was intended to be Cadillac’s flagship sports car.  Based on the Corvette’s Y platform, the XLR was introduced at the 2003 Detroit Motor Show and produced from 2004 – 2009 with a total of 15,460 manufactured.  This example is for sale in Kearney, MO for $18,500.

The XLR featured Cadillac’s 4.6L V8 Northstar engined tuned for 320 hp, a 0-60 time of 4.2 seconds, and a 6-speed automatic transmission.   The rear mounted transmission helps give the XLR virtual 50/50 front-to-rear weight distribution for superior balance as well as unusually roomy footwell space for the occupants.   The XLR was also one of the first vehicles to use Adaptive Forward Lighting which enabled headlamps to adjust lighting patterns in synch with vehicle steering – increasing night time visibility.  The initial MSRP was $80,650.  Check out the seller’s listing for full details and contact information.
