Seller offering a rare 2013 BLU Mediterraneo Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale with 58,855 miles for $49,950. The Blue Mediterraneo exterior is matched with a light cream leather with contrasting blue stitching ($450), logo stitched headrest ($625) and carpet. We’ve seen some over the top color combinations and this one is bold but not over-the-top. This example is also equipped with matte black wheels and the carbon fiber package.
2013 was the first year of a number of updates to the GranTurismo. The front fascia was changed to have a more aggressive stance – splitting the facia with the iconic Maserati badge. Maserati changed to adaptive headlights which move with the steering wheel up to 15 degrees. The side vents on the front fenders are slightly larger but we are not sure how much engine heat they extract.
We have a couple more questions with the seller about whether this is a Stradale. Our understanding is the 2013 Stradale has a carbon fiber hood with distinctive venting (we don’t claim to be Maserati experts though). While both versions of the GranTurismo are equipped with a 32-valve Ferrari V8 engine which produce 454 hp and 384 lb-ft of torque the Stradale has an upgraded transmission (the same F1 transmission found in the 599 GTO), lighter components, carbon ceramic brakes, more aggressive exhaust, which equate to better performance. The GranTurismo Sport produces a 0-60 of 5.0 seconds and a top speed of 176 mph while the Stradale’s 0-60 is 4.7 seconds and top speed is 187 mph. The major difference is the handling due to the F1 transmission positioning – better balanced toward the back of the vehicle.
