Seller offering 1988 BMW 325i convertible with undisclosed miles for $6,250. Equipped with a desirable original 5-speed manual transmission, seller says it is rust free and the body is straight. Appears to have seat covers but seller says the interior is in great condition and includes a custom sound system. Seller has had the car for 8 years and says it has been maintained well and always used premium synthetic blend oil. Several maintenance issues taken care about 2 years ago include new timing belt and water pump.
The 325i is equipped with a 6-cylinder 2.5 L engine which produced 169 hp and either an automatic or manual 5-speed transmission. The 5-speed transmission in the 325i was the Getrag 260 – considered an improvement over its predecessor.
The 1988 model was the first year the aluminum “diving board” bumpers were replaced by a shorter plastic bumper in a body-matching color. 269,074 E30’s were produced in 1988. 85,246 E30 convertibles were produced from ’86-’93 and just 19,136 of those were 325i. Per the seller, a small number of these had the 5-speed manual transmission. While our favorite color combo was white body and blue convertible top – we like the black top as well.
