Mercedes unveiled the CLS in 2005 which ushered in the era of couple-like sedans. Audi (A7) and BMW (6-series Gran Coupe) followed shortly after. 2015 was the first year of the upgraded engine with a 5.5L bi-turbo V8 which produces a whopping 585 hp, 0-60 in 3.7 seconds and a top speed of 155 mph. In addition to engine improvements the 2015 CLS received a revised diamond pattern front grille, innovated multibeam LED headlights, sportier lower fascia, unique wheels, and some chrome badging to distinguish itself the standard CLS model. The multibeam LED headlights are essentially always in bright mode but will even adjust the shape and angle of the beams to not blind oncoming traffic. The S model original MSRP started at $106,500.
