Seller offering a rough, but all original, 1988 BMW M6 with an estimated 220,000 miles with a buy-it-now price of $12,000. Is the rust significant enough that it cannot be restored? How does the undercarriage look? Are the electronics sorted out? We like the idea of a cherry 1988 BMW M6 – interested to know if this is a candidate. Seller says that it has been sitting for a while but starts and runs. Includes a number of pictures that show that the vehicle has quite a bit of rust and will need interior work as well. Prime examples are reaching prices of almost $60k.
Introduced in 1983, the M6 features a modified version of the 3.5L inline-6 from the M1. The M6 produced a reported 256-hp, 0-60 mph in 6.1 seconds, and a top speed of 158 mph. In addition to the “M” badging, the “M” series can be distinguished by the body-colored side-view mirrors, rear lip spoiler, large front air dam, larger front brakes and a lowered ride height.
This 1988 BMW M6 is for sale in Leawood, Kansas. Check out seller’s listing on eBay for full details and contact information.
