Suzuki 4-wheel drives began after the purchase of Japanese automaker Home Motor COmpany in 1968. The first Suzuki branded 4-wheel drive was the LJ10 (“light jeep”) introduced in 1970. The upgraded LJ20 began production in 1972 which introduced a 28-hp engine able to reach 50 mph. Seller says that only 900 LJ20’s were imported into the United States. Since our understanding is the Suzuki 4×4 (the Samari) was not marketed to the United States until 1985, it’s not clear where the 900 number comes from. This 1972 Suzuki LJ10 is for sale in Trenton, Missouri. Check out seller’s listing on eBay for more details and contact information.
