Seller offering a 1994 Mercedes Benz CL500 Coupe with 129,003 miles for $3,300. The CL (“couple light”) class was produced from 1992-2014 and is a derivative of the S-class. Formerly known as the SEC, the CL had a slightler shorter wheelbase but largely the same engine and slightly heavier. Equipped with the Mercedes V8 and V12, the larger engine was in the CL600. Seller has done some work on this vehilce including newer engine wiring harness, fuel pump, fuel filter, brake pas and front rotors. Recently serviced at a German auto shop in the Northland, sellers the vehicle is clean inside and out.
With a wheelbase of 115,9 inches and total length of 199.4 inches, don’t let the 2-doors fool you.Equipped with a 5.0L V8 the CL500 was built for high speed autobaun speeds. The vehicle produced 315-hp, 347 lb-ft of torque, a 0-60 speed of 7.5 seconds and a top speed of 155 mph. Paint appears to be original no no signs of rust or other body damage.
The interior and finish was more S-class than SL-class. There is some obvious seat wear in the pictures. The wood trim looks to be in generally good shape but also some signs of aging in the center console. Appears to include the original radio.
We like the back seat in the CL. The wood center console with rear window controls is unique. Adjustable back seats was certainly a novelty at the time. Overall, for $3,300 and a thorough mechanical inspection this could be a great cruiser.
This 1994 CL500 is for sale in North Kansas City, Missouri. Check out seller’s listing on Craigslist for full details and contact information.
