The 463 series G-Class was introduced in 1990 and continued production with few changes until 2018. Official sales began in the United States in 2002 with a list price of $75,000. The G63 improves upon the G550’s 4.0L twin turbo V8 with a 5.5L V8 which produces 563 hp (27 hp more than the G550) and 561 lb-ft of torque, a 0-60 time of 4.8 seconds, and a top governed speed of 130 mph (let’s remember this is a 4×4).
While the performance and thundering exhaust let you know the G63 is there, it’s the G-wagon’s presence that is probably the most lasting. Boxy styling, tank-like doors, upright windshield, and rear tire carrier make the G-wagon look like something you could drive through a brick wall. With the AMG package, you can do it fast. Check out the seller’s listing on Craigslist for more details and contact information.
